Privacy settings
Who does Satisfly share my information with?
Basic profile information will be shared with the airlines and partners AFTER your approval. On the membership page, you will see which organizations will be privy to your profile information as permission is granted. The permission statement reads: By adding and connecting this membership, I allow Satisfly to use my profile information and share part of it with the connected airline in order to serve the purpose of delivering the Intelligent Seating service (give me an ideal seat buddy) and of keeping my airline membership profile up to date and syncronized with my Satisfly profile. I also request that the connected airline informs Satisfly about my flight reservations, in order to enable Satisfly to serve the purpose.
These membership groups typically consist of partnering airlines, reward programs and other relevant partners. Should the user find that these programs become invasive, they can immediately opt out of any memberships and delete any social platform connections. A personal profile can also be permanently deleted with two clicks (but you will love us so much that you will forget that button exists!).
Your privacy is very important, so SATISFLY offers a simple and intuitive way to control it. The privacy settings are transparent and available on every page of the website. There are three essential options to define who can see your information.
-
Nobody
Your information is not available to any other SATISFLY member or internet user. -
Social networks friends
Your information is available solely to other SATISFLY members who are also your connections on social networks, e.g. Facebook friends, LinkedIn connections and people you follow on Twitter. With this privacy setting enabled, if you have not connected any social networks to SATISFLY, nobody will see your information. -
Everyone
Your information is available to every SATISFLY member, but it is not available to other internet users.
Where is your information available?
SATISFLY is not meant for sharing and browsing member profiles. So small parts of your profile information will be shown to your upcoming seat buddy just before the flight, only if your flight mood is sociable (Easy Chat or Business Talk).
Where does your information come from?
-
Your input
There are various ways to provide your information directly to SATISFLY, e.g. the Profile edit page, the Flight preferences page and the Memberships page. -
Social networks
When you connect a social network through our Networks page, you allow SATISFLY to automatically populate your information with data coming from those social networks. Importing your social profiles expedites the sign up process and helps keep your information up to date with little interaction.
You can always check with the individual social networks policies to see what kind of information is shared with SATISFLY.
Questions
If you have any questions or concerns about our privacy policy, you can contact our privacy team by email at privacy@satisfly.com.
Scope
This privacy policy covers all of SATISFLY. It does not, however, apply to entities that SATISFLY does not own or control, such as other social networks. By using or accessing SATISFLY, you agree to our privacy practices outlined here.
No information from children under age 13
If you are under age 13, please do not attempt to register for SATISFLY or provide any personal information about yourself to us. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from a child under age 13, please contact us writing an email at webmaster@satisfly.com.
Parental participation
We strongly recommend that minors 13 years of age or older ask their parents for permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet and we encourage parents to teach their children about safe internet use practices.
